Google Analytics and AdWords
This website uses functions from the Google Analytics web analysis service. These are provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.
Google Analytics uses so-called ”cookies;” these are text files that are stored on your computer to help analyse your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address) is sent to a Google server in the USA and stored there. To protect users’ interests in safeguarding their personal data, the data is sent in anonymised form. Your IP address therefore cannot be identified when it is sent to Google.
You can prevent cookies being saved by changing the settings on your browser software; however, we would like to point out that, in this case, you may not be able to use all the functions of this website in full. Furthermore, you can prevent the data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (incl. your IP address) being recorded and processed by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
Further information on how Google Analytics handles user data can be found in Google’s privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/?hl=en
This website uses the “Google AdWords” online advertising service and, within this context, the conversion tracking process. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an advertisement placed by Google. These cookies cease to be valid after 30 days and cannot be used to personally identify users. If the user visits specific pages on this website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can detect that the user clicked on the advertisement and was redirected to this page. Each Google AdWords client is given a different cookie. It is therefore not possible to track cookies across the websites of AdWords clients. The information collected via the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords clients who opted for the conversion tracking process. Clients find out the total number of users who clicked on their advertisement and were redirected to a site with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information that could be used to identify users. Users who do not want to take part in the tracking process can simply deactivate the Google Conversion Tracking cookie via the user settings on their internet browser. These users are not included in the conversion tracking statistics.
Purpose of processing
The anonymised IP address is sent to Google for the purpose of improving the efficiency of our website and performing anonymised evaluations of visitor behaviour.
Legal foundation
The legal foundation for the data processing is our legitimate interest in improving the efficiency of our website as per Article 6 Paragraph 1(f) GDPR.
Commissioned data processing
We have concluded a data processing contract with Google.
Personal data is sent to the USA under the EU-US Privacy Shield based on the adequacy decision from the European Commission. You can access the certificate here.
Duration of the data storage
Data sent by us and linked to cookies and user IDs will be automatically deleted after 14 months. Data for which the retention period has come to an end is automatically deleted once a month.
We use “Google reCAPTCHA” (hereinafter “reCAPTCHA”) on our website. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
